In looking for answers about the "thorn in his flesh" I ran across your post "What was the Thorn in the Flesh 2 Corinthians 12:7-10" on the Apostle Paul. The article by Tony Warren was very informative and I really liked all the other scriptures associated with it. I am personally dealing with a thorn in a loved one's flesh. I know that some experience a thorn that they can not rid of or pray away but I understand that God allows it and for that I am grateful and thankful. Although I cant help but feel sorry for the loved one that has it but I know that it will only bring me closer to Him. Patience and character are in the making and all of it is for God's glory. God will be glorified again. Thank you for your post. Blessings and Peace Alfred

Whoever vets these guestbook posts, I hope they will approve this rather than delete it, as I mean no harm by what I am about to say. I have some good things to say about this site and some bad things to say about it.The Pros: Your view on Reformed theology is in my opinion the most accurate perception of God as a God of grace and sovereign over all things. And I do love how you go out of your way (Unlike most Calvinists) to put all the focus on what the word of God teaches and not Calvinism or what John Calvin taught. I like how it is taught that there are none good, and we are all sinners unworthy within ourselves to be saved. I understand that as Christians (followers of Christ), rather than Calvinists (followers of Calvin) we need to distinguish between God's doctrines and the doctrines of John Calvin. And the only way to do that is to stop calling ourselves Calvinists "as if" we follow John Calvin. The difference seems to be between tender-hearted, compassionate Christians looking for the well-being of others, and hard-heated uncompassionate Christians looking to the preservation of unwise Calvinistic traditions. I also appreciate how you welcome Reformed Baptist Christians because a lot of Reformed churches will shun us. The Cons: While Tony Warren and many call themselves Reformed Christians and not Calvinists, there are certainly many Calvinists and authors here who are the most starch-shirted and judgemental people in all the church. And though they give lip service to grace, they in practice look down their collective noses on anyone not clinging to Calvinist church tradition. These hard heads don't seem to understand that it is possible to love Reformed (that is to say biblical) theology, but not love Calvinism. I know some Calvinists mean well, but it is disconcerting how often Calvinism is perceived to be the doctrines of John Calvin that people are following. This should not be. Not to mention that most Calvinists seem so unforgiving, as I have been banned from two Calvinist forums just for saying some of the things I've said here today. Calvinism shouldn’t be about being cold-hearted, arrogant, vain, know-it-alls. But that is what it seems to imply. So that is my joy and my beef with many who all call themselves conservative Christians here. As true believers who have experienced God’s mercy even though we know we didn't deserve it, shouldn't we be more tolerant and merciful to Christians who dearly love the Lord but just have differing opinions about Christian behaviors? The truths so evident in Reformed theology I believe promote graciousness that comforts the soul and is not to be used as a vehicle driving us to be puffed up with vanity, pride, and a sense of eliteness. I pray that if we truly affirm the Reformed traditions of grace and mercy, let's show it in our attitude toward those who have not yet been given the knowledge to know the truth. Who knows if we don't entertain angels unaware? Thanks for hearing me out.

Love the articles here, especially the ones by Tony Warren. Solid eschatology, not the late great planet Earth stuff of fiction, and not the liberal non-explanation fluff. Good solid Biblical exegesis. Looking forward to reading more in the eschatology section. God Bless.

Minister Tony Warren, Old School faithfulness, lawfulness, teaching, commitment, doctrines, and grace. I love it when a site doesn't compromise in order to gain hits, views, or to become popular with the world! This is one of the more fruitful and Biblical sites that I have come across in these end times. I was simply amazed that your eschatology page was so well populated with so many sound articles on biblical eschatology. I'm sure you know of the evangelical nonsense that passes for Christian eschatology these days. All the serious theologians speaking on the subject on your eschatology resource page were just an eye opener. It opened doors I had never thought of, and brought the kingdom right to a place where I could realize its real and spiritual nature. God bless your work and efforts. I cannot believe this resource has been around for so many years and I had never even heard of this site. So blessed to find scripture-based authoritative teachings."For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. -Matthew 7:29"

In this hour of darkness in which we live I am grateful to God for the sound Christian teachings and writings that I find here. Very hard to find sound theology anymore. God bless you all.

Your web site is very comforting, biblical, and informative, and I appreciate the teachings and articles that I have here. I was looking for a church that fit in with my conservative religious beliefs and came across the Mountain Retreat page. I am an avid reader and I also listen to the audio bible every day. I find this to be very helpful in learning and remembering scripture to develop a good relationship with our God.Thank you,

Just thought I'd leave my feedback. I cannot stress enough how excited I was when I checked this website out. When I saw that eschatology section I started to cry because it's so rare these days to find sound teachings about the end times, the kingdom of God, and an objective view of the Amillennial theology. I am glad to see that you have the same burden on your heart for educating God's people that I do. I pray that God blesses this site abundantly as you do God's will. God bless!

What a great site! It is so God glorifying to see what a great blessing that you are providing to thirsty souls on the web. I have been searching for biblical theology for two years now and all I have found is the wishy-washy use your own interpretation type sites. So refreshing to find the gospel the way it use to be preached--Which is, as it is written. I don't have much else to say except I just wanted to say how much I appreciate this ministry and the work that you are doing. Keep up the good work.

This is awesome. I truly enjoyed reading your writings about theology and eschatology and find that it is the only eschatology that makes sense to me. I have been talking with a theologian for awhile now and he agrees and tells me this is the amillennial position. It is just so beautiful to see the word of God come together in such a consistent and God glorifying way. I can tell your words are from the bible and from the heart. God is evident in this ministry and I will continue to keep you in my prayers for outreach to those who need to hear the words of God as it was meant to be preached. This mission helps so many people even beyond what it was designed for. Keep up the good work! Your friend, supporter, and brother in Christ, Richard
